Route Planner
Cox's Bazar Airport lies about three to six kilometres from the hotel, ten to eighteen minutes by car depending on traffic. Daily flights connect with Dhaka in around one hour, operated by several Bangladeshi airlines, and services increase in peak season. The hotel offers a paid airport shuttle, and taxis and CNG auto rickshaws wait outside the terminal. Booking flights early is wise during Eid and winter holidays, when seats sell out quickly.
The railway line from Dhaka and Chattogram reached Cox's Bazar recently, and the new station, designed in the shape of an oyster shell, has become a landmark of its own. Trains from Dhaka take around eight to ten hours, offering a comfortable alternative to the long road journey. Tickets should be booked in advance online, as demand is high on weekends.
By road, buses from Dhaka take ten to twelve hours, mostly overnight, and air conditioned coaches from companies such as Green Line, Hanif and Shohagh arrive in the early morning. From Chattogram, the drive takes around four hours. The road can be congested near Chattogram and on holiday weekends.
Within Cox's Bazar, easy bikes, battery powered three wheelers, and CNG auto rickshaws are the most common transport. Fares are cheap but should be agreed in advance. Rickshaws cover short distances to the beach points. Ride hailing coverage is limited compared with Dhaka.
The Marine Drive toward Teknaf is about eighty kilometres long, and day trips are best done by hired car, microbus or open jeep with a local driver. Security checkpoints exist on the route south, so carrying identification is essential.
Saint Martin's Island, the only coral island of Bangladesh, is reached by ship from Cox's Bazar or Teknaf. Access has been restricted in recent seasons with limited months and visitor registration, so checking the current rules through the tour desk is essential before planning.
Taxi drivers and boatmen often speak little English, and having the hotel address written in Bengali helps when returning from excursions.
